How long will it take to deliver my stuff to Florida?

I am moving from Long Island to Florida and I would like to know how long it will take for your moving company to deliver my stuff to Miami, Florida?

Thank you for your question. All of the professional movers I know have published their transit times for household shipments. We call this our "Transit Time Guide" which is a matrix with the shipment miles across the top (in columns) and the shipment weight on the side (in rows). An example of our Non-Peak (Sept. 6th to May 31st...it changes during the busy summer moving season) Transit Time Guide is posted below...

Therefore, it is difficult to answer your question without knowing what your shipment weighs. But for the sake of an example let's assume your shipment weighs 6,000 pounds. Miami, FL falls within the 1,000 to 1,499 mile column, so your shipment would be delivered in 2 days (at the earliest) to 10 days (at the latest).

This 2 to 10 day window is what professional movers call a "delivery spread" or a "delivery window" and it is important to understand that the mover gets to choose which day (within the specified delivery spread) the shipment will be actually be delivered on.

I hope this answers your question, but if you need to speak with us please don't hesitate to contact us.

Cheers! Smiley
